Fighter jets and
World War Two planes took to the skies for an annual air show.

But the pilots performing the loop the loops
and death defying feats had their feet firmly on the ground as all the
planes were radio controlled models.
Pilots from across the country joined local
enthusiasts at the Teesside Model Flying Club's annual air show over the
weekend.
Spectators were treated to jaw dropping
acrobatic displays that saw the carefully made model planes and
helicopters loop and twist and dive through the sky.

Club chairman Keith Evans from Hartburn
said: "We hope that the show will get more people interested in model
planes and people of all ages are welcome to join the club. We are
especially looking to get more youngsters involved."
One of the club's youngest members is Adam
Cumbor, from Great Ayton.
The 14-year-old Stokesley School pupil was
invited to open the show as he has recently qualified to fly at show
standard. He said: "This was my first show, so I was a bit nervous. But I
really enjoyed it."
The two-day show was held on a field at
Drovers Lane, Redmarshal, which the club bought for flying practice.
